Last night, 664 upperclassmen gathered at the Marriott in downtown Louisville for a night to remember.
Upon entering Prom students were met with bright lights, loud music, and a massive dance floor, which did not stay empty for long. On the tables it was evident to students the theme was Oriental because they were left Chinese take-out boxes, topped with neon sunglasses.
At After-Prom, the school was transformed into the world of Pandora, from James Cameron’s “Avator.” Regular flourescent lighting was exchanged with black-out lights that made the neon-decor glow.
Students had many activities to choose from including hamster-ball-racing, gas card bingo, corn hole, ping pong, dodgeball, karoke, video games, and contests. Prom-goers could also relax at a cafe featuring live music, watch “Avatar,” or even laugh the night away at a comedy club.
