During lunch on Wednesday, April 26, 2011, a group of students dedicated their time and energy to sell hand-decorated headbands in an effort to raise money for a water purification system. Among the students were sophomores NicolletteĀ Barreras, Olivia Boesing, Amy Winders, and juniors Emily Engle and Haley Hisle.
“We’re raising enough money to buy a water purification system in Africa. So far we’ve raised $500,” said Barreras.
Headbands cost $5 each, and will be sold on Wednesdays and Fridays.
